DCA RouteLab is developed by Denish Patel, through Darwinian Angel Ltd and the Civation brand. Denish has spent more than two decades working in and around UK local government, with practical experience across property, public assets and contract management.
The purpose of DCA RouteLab is to bring that practical officer perspective into a structured reasoning tool for public-sector commercial decisions.

Professional background.
Denish is a Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, holds an MBA, and is a Member of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. He is also an MSc Artificial Intelligence candidate at the University of Bath. He is currently undertaking MSc dissertation research at the University of Bath on anthropomorphic language in AI — examining how human-like terms such as “understand”, “reason”, “decide” and “hallucinate” shape how AI systems are described, trusted and governed.
His professional work has involved the real-world pressures faced by public authorities when commercial, financial, operational and governance decisions have to be made under uncertainty.

The problem it addresses
Why DCA RouteLab exists.
In public-sector commercial work, the most important assumptions often form early.

DCA RouteLab was created to help officers test those assumptions earlier. It provides a structured way to think through route, price, risk, affordability, marketability, priceability, client capability and residual exposure before procurement or contract commitment.
